QUALIFICATION STANDARDS (Minimum)

Education:       Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Experience:     3 years of relevant experience

Training:          16 hours of relevant training

Eligibility:         Career Service (Professional)/ or any Second Level Eligibility

  1. Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assists the Division Chief and participates in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs, projects on SME development, product development, technical advisory services, access to finance, productivity and efficiency, business information advocacy, and trade promotion services.
    • Handles special projects;
    • Assists the Division Chief, Provincial Director, Assistant Regional Director, Regional Director in planning and formulating policy decisions by providing specialized technical support/inputs/advice;
    • Assist in the development of strategic linkages with internal and external stakeholders to mobilize broad-based support for DTI policies and participation in DTI programs and activities;
    • Identifies and sources out funding requirements of projects and establishes linkages with various agencies to facilitate effective implementation;
    • Review and monitor programs, activities and projects of the DTI Provincial Offices;
    • Provide of technical and managerial assistance to DTI clients;
    • Assists the Division Chief in overseeing the operations of the Division and in supervising the work of subordinate person
    • Performs other related work.
