GENERAL OBJECTIVES

The conference seeks to:

  1. Understand informal-economy productivity concepts;
  2. Discuss major constraints in informal-economy productivity;
  3. Examine tools and methodologies for its effective measurement; and
  4. Share best practices and provide insights into translating measurement findings into actionable strategies and policies for productivity improvement and formalization.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are requested to signify their intent to apply by replying to this email and are required to submit the following no later than 21 July 2025 to the CEST Secretariat:

  1. CEST Forms B and C (template attached) duly approved by the applicant’s Supervising Undersecretary/Head
  2. Service Record
  3. Certificate of No Pending Administrative and/or Criminal Case
  4. Certificate of No Pending Nomination and Service Obligation (for applicants from the regional/provincial offices)
  5. Accomplished Training Needs and Endorsement by Organization/Company (TNEO) (template attached) with the applicant’s signature

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

Target participants include government officials, policymakers, statisticians, economists, and professionals from ministries, statistics offices, and agencies involved in informal-economy productivity measurement and policy development. Priority in selection will be given to candidates attending APO projects for the first time. The APO may not select those who have participated in its projects within the last two (2) years.
